About Me
Hi, I’m Sarah Blackbourn, maker, writer, creator, and proud chicken tender to my backyard flock.
What started as a passion for building quickly grew into a full-fledged woodworking business, where I craft custom signs, furniture, and home decor that bring both function and beauty into everyday spaces. I’ve proudly showcased my work for four years at the Peter Anderson Festival, one of the most celebrated art events on the Coast, where I connect with fellow artists and customers who appreciate handmade quality and creative inspiration along the way.
In 2024, I was honored to be featured on the cover of Gulf Coast Woman Magazine, a full-circle moment as I now serve as a contributing author of the magazine’s monthly DIY column, where I share approachable, budget-friendly projects and creative inspiration for readers across the region.
Over the years, I’ve built a strong online presence as a local influencer and content creator, known for my chicken chaos, candid storytelling, and down-to-earth approach to everything from building coops to business branding. In 2025, I took on a new role as one of the editors of The Magnolia Feed, an online lifestyle and community feature platform that celebrates the culture, people, and makers of the South. I recently joined the Advisory Council at the Gulfport Arts Center.
My heart has always been rooted in community outreach, using my platform to lift up small businesses, amplify local talent, and spread a little joy where I can. That mission inspired my latest venture: I’m the proud co-founder of Gulf Coast Content Studio, a full-service creative agency launched alongside my talented friend Shannon Lutkins. Together, we help businesses tell their stories through engaging content, strategy, and visual storytelling that resonates.
From custom woodwork to community connection, everything I do is grounded in creativity, honesty, and a whole lot of sawdust. Whether you're here for a DIY, to collaborate, or just to say hi—I'm so glad you stopped by.
